Install RankFlect SEO Pro and activate your license

RankFlect SEO Pro is a separate plugin, not an add-on. It contains everything in the free plugin plus the Pro features, and it unlocks them once you activate your license key. This guide takes you from purchase to a working Pro install.

Your settings and SEO data carry over. You don't need to export anything or set RankFlect SEO up again.

1. Get your license key and the Pro plugin

Purchases are processed by Freemius, RankFlect SEO's reseller and merchant of record. After you buy at rankflectseo.com/pricing, the confirmation page shows your plan, your renewal date and your License key, with a button to copy it and a Download RankFlect SEO Pro button.

If this is your first purchase, RankFlect SEO creates an account for you and emails a link to set a password. If you already have an account with that email address, log in to see the license.

You can come back for the key and the download at any time:

1. Log in at rankflectseo.com/account.
2. Under Download, click Download RankFlect SEO Pro. You get a zip file.
3. Under Licenses, find your license. The key is partly hidden: click the eye icon to show it, or the copy icon to copy it.

2. Install RankFlect SEO Pro

1. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin and click Upload Plugin.
2. Choose the RankFlect SEO Pro zip file and click Install Now.
3. Click Activate Plugin.

You don't need to remove the free plugin first. Activating RankFlect SEO Pro deactivates the free plugin automatically, because only one edition can run at a time.

3. Activate your license

Enter your license key when WordPress asks for it after activation, and confirm. The license check is handled by Freemius.

When the license is active, the RankFlect SEO header shows Pro instead of Free, and the locked Pro cards across RankFlect SEO open up. During a trial the header shows Pro trial.

Tip After switching to Pro you can delete the free plugin from Plugins. RankFlect SEO doesn't delete its data when one edition is removed while the other is still active.

Sites and your license

Each license covers the number of production sites on your plan: 1, 5 or unlimited. Local development sites (for example localhost, *.test and *.local addresses) don't count. Your account shows how many sites are in use and which ones. To move a license to another site, deactivate it on the old site first. See Manage your license.

Pro updates

Once your license is active, RankFlect SEO Pro updates arrive inside WordPress like any other plugin update. See Update RankFlect SEO.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Cause	Fix
The header still shows Free and Pro features are locked.	The free plugin is active instead of RankFlect SEO Pro, or the license isn't activated.	Check Plugins: RankFlect SEO Pro should be active. Then make sure you entered your license key.
An agent or the REST API returns rankflect_pro_required.	The Pro feature was called on a site without an active Pro license.	Activate your license, or start a trial.
You can't find the download button in your account.	Your account doesn't have a Pro license yet, or you're logged in with a different email.	Log in with the email you bought with. If the license still isn't there, email [email protected].

FAQ

Will I lose my settings when I switch from Free to Pro?

No. Both editions use the same settings and SEO data. Pro picks up exactly where the free plugin left off.

Can I go back to the free plugin?

Yes. Install and activate the free plugin; RankFlect SEO Pro is deactivated and your data stays. Pro features are switched off on the free plugin.

Where are my invoices?

Invoices and refunds are handled by Freemius and emailed to you. Your account also shows a Billing history of purchases, renewals and refunds.
